Many patients are on chronic anticoagulation due to blood clotting or heart problems and require this to be monitored with periodic "prothrombin time" tests. We have streamlined this process with our new "PT clinic" where a nurse performs the test in house and gives the patient immediate results and instructions as well as screening for potential problems.
